AITA for Not Wanting to Vacation with My Pregnant Sister? In this situation, a 23-year-old woman, OP, has a spring camping trip planned with her stepsister Eva and stepmom Anne. They’re all excited about a fun-filled vacation with hiking and biking. OP is really looking forward to this active trip, but things get complicated when her 30-year-old sister, Julie, who is seven months pregnant, wants to join.
Julie isn’t into outdoor activities and doesn’t like exercise. OP has taken her hiking before, and Julie struggled and complained the whole time. OP worries that Julie’s presence would disrupt their plans and force them to make adjustments.
OP talked to Eva and Anne about her concerns, feeling that Julie’s participation might ruin the trip. Eva and Anne disagreed, thinking OP was being selfish and excluding Julie. OP then said that if Julie came along, she wouldn’t go on the trip.
When Eva and Anne told Julie about OP’s decision, Julie was hurt and upset. She accused OP of being unsupportive and judgmental, especially since she’s pregnant. Julie felt that OP was being unfair and lacking empathy.
Now, there’s tension between the sisters. OP thinks she’s right to want to keep the original plans, while Julie and others see OP’s stance as unkind given her pregnancy. The conflict is about balancing the planned activities with the need to accommodate Julie’s situation.

NTA – I’d definitely keep to your word and not go. She is going to make everyone miserable and she’ll play the pregnancy card whenever you all don’t do what she says.
we’ll have to spend the whole vacation accommodating her and listening to her complain, rather than actually do the stuff we planned.
NTA
It already sucks to be around a non-outdoorsy person on a camping/hiking trip, adding the fact that she is 7 months pregnant on top of that would just guarantee the trip will suck. (And to be honest, even if she loved hiking and camping, being 7 months pregnant would probably ruin most of the trip anyways).

NTA – I frankly can’t believe someone who is going to be 7 months pregnant would want to go camping and hiking. It’s going to be an absolutely miserable experience for everyone.
Not to mention her statement to you that because she’s pregnant you should be more accommodating is the most obvious foreshadowing I’ve ever seen into what she’s going to be like on this trip.
I’d say go on the trip, have fun, and do your own thing. The people who decided she should come can deal with the problems they’ve invited.
NTA honestly let the three of them go so that they will realise why you pulled out. Dont be emotional, just say it was three anyway and if you drop out and she goes its also 3. Wish them a great time and thats it. They are the ones who will have a nightmare time with her.
NTA. I think this line sums it all up:
nd that since she’s pregnant I should be more supportive towards her going on vacation.
Your concerns were 100% warranted, because this is absolutely what she’s going to do.
