AITA for How I Dealt with an Aggressive Boomer at the Pharmacy? I was at my local pharmacy picking up my medications when it was finally my turn. As I was about to pay, the pharmacy tech started explaining my prescriptions. Suddenly, an elderly woman with smeared lipstick and a loud phone on speaker barged in pushed me aside, and threw her phone at the tech. She demanded, “Talk to them. I said talk to them NOW!”
Noticing the tech’s confusion, I politely asked her to give me some space so I could finish my transaction. She refused, so I insisted, “My medications are private, and I need you to step back until I’m done.” She retorted, “Oh shut up, you asshole!”
Although I may look small and sweet, I’m far from timid. I unleashed a string of expletives that shocked her. She stood there in stunned silence, clutching her pearls. Later, the pharmacy manager approached me to let me know that the woman had been escorted out and banned from the pharmacy for life. It felt like a small win. I’m still amazed at the entitlement some people display.

Haha 🤣 I’m on a variety of the magnesium. So far so good. Sorry to kidnap the post. I just can’t believe how inconsiderate and absent of thought people can be. I’ve worked in hospitality/service and for USPS most of my life. For me, the customer is NOT always right, and I’ll take my chances with living by that standard. I can give it back when provoked. Do unto others, right? I will respond in kind.
I’m a millennial and regularly deal with both of those things and I am not an asshole to people until they give me a valid reason to be. So unless we also have a severe emotional/mental decline (idk if it just happens or if it is highly related to lead exposure) you should be good! Just take some magnesium, throw on a pee pad, and go on your way! It’s not hard to not be an asshole.
I’m genX too. I’m waiting to see if our etiquette and consideration for others fade with our ability to hold our bladders too. We’re next to be called out. Incontinence and constipation can make a person angry. I’m getting scared. I apologize in advance -while I still have the manners to do so.
That’s why I say good on you. If it were an old man, you bet your ass I’d knock hi dentures out. Had some old man call me the hard N word for telling him that he was cutting in front of me in the liquor store one time, and if not for the fact that a Sheriff’s officer being in there, overhearing it and telling the dude to leave, he’d need more than Fixadent.

Sometimes being a woman has its advantages. For example, I can fight anyone 🤷🏻♀️🤣 if I would have heard that I would have laid her out for you. “Martha in your day women wouldn’t be in allowed in public, so let’s all take a step back” that’s such a disgusting comment to make. I hope she makes it to the right person and gets her hip broken.
